Purpose:

This document provides a vehicle to record critical design, development, production support, Infrastructure and security data on all applications.

The information recorded herein is used to update any IT applications defining your application environment.

This document is intended to provide a integrated respository for all data pertaining to each application in your inventory as a presage to eventually moving the data to an automated solution that can be accessed by the development organization, Infrastructure, production support, enterprise architecture and your customers.

The document contains the following sections:

Section 1 - Applications Data
Section 2 - Design and Development/Integration

Section 4 - Infrastructure
Section 5 - Security
Section 6 - Instructions for Completing Index.

The Application Data section contains the application name, business use, vendor name (if applicable), contact information, and a business profile.

The Design and Development section contains design assumptions, dependencies, risks and impacted systems, a system/ architectural overview, source and version control, system interaction model, business layer objects, cube/analysis layer objects, and database data.

The Production Support section contains vendor information, service level agreements, system dependencies and interfaces, emergency failover procedures, application and client confirguration files, installation and troubleshooting, client and application troubleshooting and maintenance procedures, job monitoring and job integration.

The Infrastructure section includes multiple hardware and operating profiles, disk configurations, backup configuration, and security alerts.
